For quite some time I have been sort of multi-faceted in what I have been making for my shops. No specific niche, but rather using my textile artistry and my button panache to create a range of products. I finally sat myself down & owned up to the fact that I love frou frou princess, shabby chic, Victorian boudoir, Edwardian era pretties, and so on. I put all of my personal & body adornments in my Art Fire shop. I will still make button rings, pendants and so on just as I will make other crafty items on occasion, but they will not be my focus. Since Art Fire returns search results randomly, I do not need to feel compelled to product like a mad woman & can just create when the moment strikes. I know this whole change seems very simplistic and obvious, but for me it took a while to accept this direction. I have always loved working with brides & making their imaginations reality. Most of the items I have sold over the years have been wedding related. I guess this niche was smacking me in the face A LOT *smiles* so here I am.......

Holiday Craft Fair — Nov. 7, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 58 W. Main St., Middletown, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., lunch served 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Chicken on biscuits, chili and corn muffins, kale soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade pies. Crafts include hand-knitted and crocheted items for the family, many craft items for the home and holidays. Bake sale. Call 343-6911 or 343-6841.
Church Holiday Fair — Nov. 7, Drew United Methodist Church, 49-51 Sussex St., Port Jervis, 9 a.m. Handmade gifts, Christmas and white elephant sales, activities for children, bake sale and more. Food available. Call 856-3423.
