As you've no doubt guessed, the last few weeks have been - well, beyond busy.  I'm trying to get back on track, starting with this weekend's sales - have fun!

Walls feeling a little bare? At Home Outfitters, theres 50% off selected art and mirrors. (Note that in their flyer, it reads ALL art and mirrors, but an in-newspaper correction limits that to SELECTED.)

Canadian Tire has folding metal sawhorses for $13.99 each ( a savings of 65%). They have sales on (gulp) exterior Christmas decorations, too, but I can't quite bring myself to go there yet. I know that I should - after all, it's forecast to be about 9 degrees this weekend, so warm enough to be comfortable on the ladder...but my head's not yet in the holidays. But there's lots of regular lighting on sale, too, so that's an option if you need to replace a few fixtures...they also have $100 off an articulating 17-foot Mastercraft aluminum ladder (the smart kind, which have a stabilizing bar at either end instead of just the legs).

At The Home Improvement Warehouse, an Alexis dual flush toilet in a box is $189.99 (keep in mind that municipal rebates ranging from $50 in Calgary to $100 in Airdrie will help reduce that price even further). And they have new Drop Lock Laminate flooring - you don't need a tapping block to install this - it just locks into place with "click" connections. It starts at $1.99 a square foot.

At the Home Depot, they're making it easy to go greener: if you bring in an old string of incandescent holiday lights, they'll give you 50% off a new string of energy-efficient LED lights, with in-store coupon (Sat and Sun only). And this weekend's the final two days of the 10% off in-stock and special order laminate flooring. There's also 10% off all appliances until Sunday.

At Kitchen & Patio, there's 35% off all indoor dining and barstools.
